Trusting God's hand in all....

For someone of little faith like me, I visited this site.

DOUBT, THE DEVILS BEST WEAPON

What is Webster's definition of doubt?
To waiver in opinion. Someone who is not consistent. Unsettled in opinion or belief. Inclined to disbelieve. Fearful, apprehensive, or suspicious of.

Do you see yourself in one of the words above?
If so, you may know why your prayers are not getting answered. All Christians have doubt from time to time. It is the strongest weapon of the Devil. With doubt, he can cripple you. When doubt comes, fear comes. When fear enters, faith leaves. When faith leaves, Jesus can no longer help you.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord. (James 1:6-7)

All it takes to smile is just a short silly sms...

And also reading the testimonials again. And again. And again.

In whom we trust ?

Trust no one.
Only trust in something permanent ; something not even flesh and blood can touch.

Trust in God.

The reality of being a servant in God's kingdom

He pointed out that the ass that bore Christ into Jerusalem would have been very foolish to think that the palms and flowers decking the road were in its own honor. Likewise, it would be foolish for those who carry Christ to people today to take credit for the response.

Is Religion a factor in a relationship?

I would think yes. But many think it isn't.

Some of the opinions:

- You love the person, you are married to that person. Not to his religion!

- It's not for me, it's for my family's sake.

- Religion is very personal. We cannot force our partner to change their personal belief.

- I don't know what my Christian brethens would think of me going out with a non-Christian girl.

For example, if you marry a Muslim today in Malaysia or in Thailand:

1. You have to convert

2. You have to follow their customs

Ironically, in some other parts of the world , eg: Palestine : Yasser Arafat was married to a Christian lady called Suha. My point is, a religion , or rather, the difference of it, did not deter them from loving one another in a marriage which bore them a child. In Malaysia, fatwas speak very loudly. Rules are made based on situations and the environment which we leave in. In Singapore, it is not necessary to convert to Islamic faith if you are not
and yet your partner is. This is the freedom of personal belief.

Probable reasons why some are unwilling to marry a person of another faith:

1. Risk the lost of identity in case their marriage ended up in a separation.

2. Family obligation to keep a faith ongoing for tradition sake.

3. Fear of the unknown.

4. Fear of family rejection.

5. Dislike of the partner's faith.

6. Believes personal faith is a much more important factor than romanctic love.

To me, a religion is more of a guidance to my communications with God. In a structured religion, I learn about God's behaviours, characters, expectations, broken dreams , shattered hopes, renewed faith in Mankind, and His everlasting Love, Grace and Mercy for us. I do see Him as a figure of reverance, of discipline, of anger, of wrath, because it is evident throughout the history. But , He is also the source of comfort, of strength, of joy, of love, when everything else fails me. What He does everyday still amazes me.

It's a relationship with God, the One whom we commune with everyday, every moment. Even when our life partner could not be there, or does not know the deepest secrets and longings in our lives, He does.

I guess, with God in a relationship with a person which I feel most peaceful with, wil be the one I go for... May He bless my journey to find and be found.

In Your hands I enthrust my spirit, amen.

IM ethics

Please , please , please...... IM ethics:

1. If you're busy --> put the BUSY sign

2. If you're seeing your boss / making a presentation / doing something important / giving a lecture --> log off!!!

A hillarious incident happened today. I IMed my trainer while he was in class (I didn't do this on purpose OK!). Now the thing is, I didnt know he was in class , so I asked him "sudah kenyang makan?" and then kept on doing my work. After a while , for quite a long time, he said : "Clown! My whole class saw it (on the screen) when you messaged!!!" Imagine the situation. You are teching somethng about routers and switches , how vLANs need the router to be in the network and then you are concentrating on how to paint that picture to your students. Next thing yuo know, students chuckled looking at your back, and you realised there's something on the screen. Opps.... Yeah MSN is on... with a stupid message .... damn!!!

Hahahhahahaaha ~

I was soooo apologetical after that - didn't know what else I can do except to laugh (this is REALLY hilarious) and apologize(I can imagine his face being red and hot) . Ohh Goshhh hahahhaaha... I still laugh thinking about this.... hehehheehhehehe.....

Why Do I care?

Sometimes , many times I still ask myself that?

Why don't I just be selfish like every one else - mind my own business, work hard and earn alot of money, get a boyfriend which makes everyone happy ( but myself???) , and live my life like everyone else.

No, I can't.

Travel BUGger

Ahh.. my travel bug is biting!
Only one word on my mind right now : EGYPT!

A colleague told me that her friend went to Egypt during March two years ago, and spent only RM2000 on the whole package of 10 days, inclusive of air flight. I'm not sure if that is real, but today I was looking at the MAS Travel Fair 2005 on The Sun paper , and it says a 6d4n trip to Cairo Free and Easy is RM1985 . These are inclusive of :
- return economy class tickets from KL
-air port / hotel / airport transfers
-hotel accommodation on twin sharing basis

Pretty good bargain , if you ask me. Inclusive of shopping , she only spent RM3000 on the whole trip. How about that for an adventure of being Indiana Jones versi wanita? :)

The amusing License Agreement

You know how I hate reading rubbish, and normally rubbish includes those boring EULAs by Microoft and all other major software writers.Check out the below:

I. Freeware
First of all, the reasons why Spybot-S&D is free:

I.a. Dedication
Spybot-S&D is dedicated to the most wonderful girl on earth :)

I.b. Binary
What do you get if you buy software? Lots of ones and zeros, nothing more. If they were distributed as art, I could understand paying it. But if the main goal of their order is to earn money - by fees or ads - I don't like it!

I.c. Conclusion
This means that I grant you the license to use Spybot-S&D as much as you like. But if you like it, I ask two things of you: say a prayer for me (and the most wonderful girl while you're at it ;) ) to your god - or whatever you believe - and wish us some luck.

II. Limitations
II.a. Reverse Engineering
Reverse Engineering is not allowed as with nearly any software. If anyone has doubts in the honesty of the code, I will give insight to a trusted organization like a university under certain limitations (for example only one copy, for a limited time, and that has to be removed after the evaluation time has ended).

One helluva programmer!

Two Kinds of Wisdom

James 3 (New International Version)

13Who is wise and understanding among you? Let him show it by his good life, by deeds done in the humility that comes from wisdom.
14But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.
15Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil. 16For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.

17But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peaceloving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. 18Peacemakers who sow in peace raise a harvest of righteousness.

Constantine is good

No, I should say yesterday was GREAT!

++

Constantine was great... and my comments:

1. I think Hell is 1000X worse than whatever is shown in the movie..
2. The best scene : When Angela drowns herself in the bath tub with Keanu Reeves pressing her all the way to the bottom.
3. How come they didn't show how Heaven might look like?
4. Keanu Reeves look like he just stepped out of shooting from Matrix.
5. I think Gabriel and Lucifer are under-rated.
6. Graphics are good in this movie , but I think End Of Days (Arnold Schwarzeneger) is better.
7. Some parts are pretty scary , but I won't tell.... :)

++

My nephew would be pleased to know this:

Apple Crumble is just RM 15.90 in Swensen's!!!

and EARTHQUAKE is just RM 32.90!!!!!! <--- his favourite.

Don't worry , Swensen's is just 10 minutes away from where I work. I didn't know this before yesterday night but now I do. Probably when he comes again in June, I'll take him there to give him a treat since he studies hard (I hope) for his O-Levels this year.

And of course, they won't run out of vanilla ice-cream in KL like they did in Singapore, would they? :) And like McD, they charge in RM not in SGD. I love this....

++

Kim Gary , delicious. Salty food. Not recommended for those who has high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

If yo're not a fan of cough mixtures, please do NOT try this drink : Passion Fruit and Peppermint Ice drink. I had it last night, and it reminded me of the evil green cough mixture I used to take when I was young!

I'm sooooo gona be SOOOOOO fat at the end of this CNY! My goodness... time to jog and destroy those fats at my tummy.

Philosophy

You know the word philosophy? It is a Greek word which has two parts. The word "sophy" in Greek means wise ; therefore people like Socrates , Plato and the rest of the flock were called Sophist because they were wise men , who thinks out of the box , who were round pegs in the square boxes. And you know all about people who are different and daring to voice their opinions ; they were shunned.

Generations of Mankind have been pondering on how the mind works and how our brain has evolved since the days of our Forefathers. We have plenty of classes today to impart ways of improving our minds , such as NLP for the adults-Neuro Linguistic Programming - populated by the West , or Mental Arithmetic for the kids. We see classes flourish because Malaysians are so interested in gaining a headstart towards developing our minds. But why is it that even though we have such educated people around, we still have unsolved cases such as dirty toilets, littered parks, vandalised telephones , and even late-comers for every possible even in Malaysia? Are we truly seeking to enrich our minds, or are we merely chasing after those "self-improvement" classes as if they are some rallies , to enrich our pockets and to make our namecards look better? Really, shamefully, I must admit as a Malaysian, I could not feel more ironic than when I saw a young adult putting an empty aluminium can on the 4-lane newly-upgraded Jalan Klang Lama before he drove his new Toyota Unser off. I was stunned!!! The general attitude never changed , and this isn't wisdom! This is selfishness . Imagine the spin-off of this *little* event - a van driver did not see the can, then tried to avoid it at the last minute , therefore making a quick swerve to the left of his lane to avoid the can. A motorcyclist did not expect the swerving van, therefore did not break in time to avoid the van. What happens now?

There is something inherently wrong in our society today. Where have we gone wrong?
This week we have Pastor Dennis Balan , an in-house pastor to deliver the sermon. Off-record: He is the most senior pastor in the FGA church, the longest serving full-time staff in FGAKL. This is his 20th year of service :) While dad is giving a sermon in the main church service, the daughter is giving a sermon in the Youth Church. Very impressive.

As promised, the sermon notes:

Romans 12:1 - 2(New International Version)
1 Therefore I urge you, brothers, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifices , holy and pleasing to God - this is your spiritual act of worship.
2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world , but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is - his good , pleasing , and perfect will.

These are strong commands :
i)Stop acting like everyone else - love your enemy, forgiving those who are nasty to us.
ii) Be careful with what we eat and watch - whatever is bad for the child is bad for us. E.g : bad words.

Substanciate the above with these....

A)James 4:4 - Friendship of the world:You adulterous people , don't you know that friendship with the world is hatred towards God? Anyone who chooses to be friend of the world becomes an enemy of God.
B)James 1:27 - The pure and defiled must keep themselves unstainedReligion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Q : How then do we do so?
There is a dramatic difference between EXTERNAL conformity and INTERNAL transformation.Transformation is like metamorphosis - a lowly , ugly worm turns into a beautiful butterfly. Our spiritual journey takes years. We must be changed from the inside using the Word of God. By renewal of our mind through the blood of Jesus, we can cleansed our thoughts.

Q: What is the renewal of the mind?
It is the cleansing of the mind from all unclean and sinful thoughts.(FireWalker says: *go figure*)

Q: How to renew the mind?Energize it by memorizing the Word. The Holy Spirit can germinate into a new way of thinking. (FireWalker: *If you allow the Bible to work, this 66 books of God will not only be a book of history, or a book of instructions , or a book of stories, or a book of love, but it is a Living Book which transforms lives. Dare you take the challenge?*)

Q: Ok, I agree. So now what do I do?

You can do two things...
1 Peter 2:1 -3 : Therefore , rid yourselves of all the malicve and all deceit , hypocrisy, envy and slander of every kind. Like newborn babies , crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation , now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.

Job 23:12 : I have not departed from the commands of His lips. I have treasured the words of His mouth more than my daily bread.

Pretty straight forward isn't it? Sometimes the Bible is a book of answers ; it's a riddle book. You just have to look for the answers at the right places. Blessings!

Feeling numb actually

How do u feel now?
Numb.

Don't feel sad k.
No la. I'm not laa... YOU don't be sad alright?!!!

I buy u dinner la...
Hahahha.. thanks.. sure sure

Things to do and not to do before your exam

1. Don't matchmake your friends.
2. -classified-
3. Perform heart removal surgery.

Nope... not a CCNA grad

I don't know if it's a premonition or what... before I finished my 55 questions, I wrote a 729 on the board. And my marks turn up to be 725. Talk about self-prophecy....

+++++

Point of failure:
1. Can't perform troubleshooting questions - RIP and OSPF
2. Spent too long on both the troubleshooting questions
3. Didn't manage to do the "Technology Questions" on TestKing - something which MUST be done if we want to pass the exam at first round.

I guess the only way to pass the exam is when you're confident theoretically as well as practically. In practical term, you need to know exactly what commands are needed to troubleshoot the network. I lack that, therefore I fail. I've always told myself, if I fail the exam , I know it will definitely be because I didn't manage the troubleshooting questions.

The next time round, I'll have to walk into the exam hall knowing that I can solve troubleshooting network questions with half an eye shut. :) Not forgetting, to score all the theoretical questions.

+++++++

Well, I guess it's back to the study table. But not now.. need a break now. Still carrying on with my weekend plans, come rain or shine.Hehehe...

+++++

Actually to come and think of it, it's cool to fail also. Two close friends each offer this:
1. Swenson's ice cream and a movie treat to Constantine
2. Lou sang on Saturday
3. Some 'advice' on do's and don'ts before a major exam.

Plans

1. Watch Constantine
2. House visiting
3. Lou sang in CT's place
4. Enjoy the rest of CNY.

Sounds like a plan. Hehe..

Moment of Truth

Today today today!

Hope the next time I online again, i'll be a CCNA graduate already.

Thanks to caring friends who have been keeping me in prayers, who have given me encouragement when I feel absolutely trashed out, who has helped in my online tutorials , who has shared links of *free* TestKing papers when I need them the most, who joked with me when I am so tensed up, and who have sent SMSes of prayers when I need to hear God's words ...

Whatever happens at 2.15 - 5pm, I surrender to God. In Jesus name, Amen.

Best line today

tomorrow i would like to talk to a CCNA.

ahhh hahahahhahahahaa

thats the best line i hav heard the whole day today!

ok best of luck~

A good verse to remember when I'm anxious

Alex sent me this yesterday morning:

NIV: Philipians 4:4
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!

The Bible continued with this:
5Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near.
6Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
7And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

I guess I need all that. Is it selfish to ask God to bless my exam ? hehehhe.... He said "in everything, by prayer and petition" -- so I ask God to bless my CCNA exam, and I surrender it to His hands... If I fail, I pray He wil provide me with some money to resit.. :D:D:D

The mood now

I have reached a point where I am quite blur now.... it's music in my head now.. not routers , not switches, not vLANs....

I guess I'll be walking into the exam hall tomorrow with musical lyrics and not ccna facts.... this is crazy.. I just hope tomorrow pass without problems, a breeze the better. And even if I fail, I know I have done my best(to console myself- if I fail tomorrow and I'll be reading this!) And then i'll sit for the exam next week, probably. Or when my morale is boosted again. Hehehhe...

Now where is Mr Prakash? I thought it's supposed to be 10pm for the online crash course. I certainly hope he hasn't forgotten me.I've sent him an sms, but don't know if he has received it. Poor trainer, has to endure some talkative, curious , loud (and someone still says I'm *sarcastic* and *young* and *unpolished* hehehe) student like me. He'd never expect someone like me in a thousand years hahahhaa. Yea, I just recently told him I was a debater and he was like "now that explains alot of things". He calls me the "star student"- I wonder how many stars I am worth..hahahahhahaa ..

I just hope I don't fail my boss and him tomorrow.

Where is the trainer?

Why on earth is my friendster page PINK?!!!

Not everyone in this world celebrate Valentine's Day on the Feb14th!
Why did they have to make me sad by putting all the love signs all around the friendster page?! Uhhhh!!!

Somemore listen to sappy love songs on the air ... and then they tell u to call in to win some love packages for "you and your loved one". Who am I going to go with EVEN if I win the package??? Wahhh...sad sad sad...

Sermon notes

Today's sermon was not enlightening at first, but after the whole service was over, and when I spoke to Pastor about the New Believer's Class - we suddenly spoke about baptism of the water... and then the whole issue of conforming to the world and its ways came about. Am I conforming to the world already? Am I entering into another black hole without me even knowing it?

I'm still pondering.

Sermon notes will come on Thursday.

Struggles again

1.How far is our level of tolerance towards the beliefs of our parents?
2.Shall we conform , or shall we transform ourselves and hope that they accept us?
3.Is it a sign of rebellion or is it a sign of trusting God will lead the way, when we are ready to burn the bridges by His grace?
4. Am I ready for a baptism of the water?
5. What is the wisest thing to do now?

Sleep Sleep

So nice to sleep on a hot sunny CNY day... :) Forget about the red packets and forget about the fatty food... just s l e e p peacefully without disturbance. And now I'm refreshed! It's great, definitely great. Try sleeping for at least 3 hours and frankly, *who cares* about the phones and alarms? :D

Am I ready?

Someone suggests that I should only sit for the exam when I am really really ready - aka when I can distingush the wrong answers from the right ones in the TK paper. I guess he is right. I've still loads to do :
1. Flash cards
2. TK papers
3. Labs
4. Celtic Rover

My cousin told me not to study hard, but really, how can I? It's a thrill to study, I find it fun to learn something new everyday. At least I can tell myself each day is a new learning day!

And plus, I've made a few new online friends who are also CCNA enthusiasts around the world - they are very willing to help. Patient to explain too. Credits to them WHEN I pass the exam.

Kids nowadays

I tell ya "don't pray pray" with the kids nowadays. Check out the lines they say :
1. Don't hit me, else I'll put some fireworks into your mouth and make sure it explodes !--> Mr Terrorist
2. No, I cannot buy you a Milo drink. --> Ms Stingy
3. Hey you, you sit here, and take photo with her.--> Ms Commander
4. No, I won't sing for you ( and later hides behind and then sing) --> Mr Shy Guy
5. No, I don't trust you that the Milo is cold( and then later sips the Milo herself behind me) --> Ms Sceptic
6. Ok la.. you win. --> Ms OK-everything.

Small kids.... haiiii... I was once so innocent too.. hehehhee.. now no more.*hehehe*
Wow!!!Please visit the Red Box karaoke soon.. They give many goodies out during the CNY celebration.... we had two free tickets for Himalayan Singh movie passes as well as a one RO starter pack and also a complication album of Chinese female singers with ROMANISED lyrics!!!!!! Wooo... good for bananas :):):)

We had 4 hours of fun with my group of cousins.... singing to English, Mandarin and Canto pop songs and even BM songs.... We had Abba, Cliff Richard, BSB (yeahh!!!), A1, Jay Chou , Savage Garden... And so many more I cant possibly name them. It's nioce having someone who knows how to sing Chinese songs in the group becasue then they can help you to actually choose songs which you would have never heard in the K-OK box if your're with urself!

An who would guess that Mr BigFoot can sing so well? He sang A1 *boyband song* and wow.. frankly, he is not bad. It's some mellow song and yet the emotions flew.. wooooo... My two cousin sisters who are normally a bit softspoken also sang ... hebat hebat! Too bad they don't know how to sing S.H.E , else they can sing "Superstar" .. and too bad I dunno Mandarin, else I'd have stayed there the whole day just singing with myself.. There's plenty of songs that I know the tune but not the lyrics.... JUST BECAUSE i don't know how to read Mandarin (wahhhh!!!!sad sad). Never mind I shall learn. When I can, I'll have no prb singing Jay Chou's 7th Mile Fragrance hehe...

Effects of all food

They make me a bit.. round... hahahhaa
so scary ok, this morning i went on the weighing machine for fun.. praying secretly , half-heartedly that I was not putting any weight.. knowing that I'm actually lying to myself hahahaha...

Anyway, the regime continues ONLY after CNY I guess. :)

Hot.. very hot.

The weather indeed is really suffocating me. I have no idea what the temperature is outside - perhaps it's 37 degree , perhas it's higher. I only know it's hot!!! Drank many cups of water, tea, soft drinks.. and nothing could quench the thirst . Frankly, I'd rather be in my office working...

+++++

Food and more food everywhere... Biscuits everywhere- pineapple tarts, dragon biscuits, peanut biscuits , kuih kapit , prawn crackers, chicken floss rolls, egg rolls. Sweets - the gummy bears and the sour preservatives. They are everywhere, and we can't, frankly, eat all of them . When you visit a house, they will say "Help yourselves to the food, we still have plenty" ... without realising that we already are full to the brink... bloated even. I ate and ate until I don't know if I'm hungry or full anymore ; my stomach is TAT bad... Really feel like a glutton , because as much as I know that the next bite of the tart means that I have to run harder for a few more laps , I'm still eating them.

+++++

Missed some good shows :
  • Fantasia 2004, dont know when is the replay.
  • Sammi vs Sammi Concert
  • Sally Yeh Concert

I'm so glad that tomorrow I'm sleeping at home. Urr.. OK, k-ok in the late evening.

all the best .. go pass the exam with good marks ....

This is really reassuring, especially when people give good advice to pass the exams. I'm just praying hard.. and I'm sacrificing my CNY for this... so that on Chor Pat I can pass it with flying colors. Just worried about the practical part of the exam actually :( Have to drill myself with loadssssss of practice!!!! 7 more days... ohhhh dear.. getting scared now... and things just getting more interesting... :D

Pray for me will ya?

Ahhh yummy dinner and nice wine

I propose a toast for NOT cooking for Chinese New Year -- Yam Seng!!!

I can see that my aunties and my mum relax more now that they dont have to cook for this year's CNY reunion dinner.I finally realised what a burden upon them to cook for the whole BIG clan of Phangs .. ahh and what a feast we had outside! With wines... and suckling piggie and also sharksfin soup... OK more to come...

I know I'm definitely gaining weight at the end of this 15 days feast hehehehhehee.... all the makans n the minums n the makans somemore , little water and lots of oily food, and with hot weather like every other CNY -- sure gonna get fat. Well, never mind, the good old pair of jeans is always around when I am a little fatter- especially at the waist!

I'm just hoping there's no serious major outbreaks at the end of the feast - such as fever, flu or pimple breakouts... :):):)

Ohh, we have a new addition to our family reunion this year as well, my cousin's girlfriend!!! Wow.... hey, no one brings a girl back without considering about what the other members think , okay... If you're not talking about a long-term relationship, then it's not worth bringing her back, especially on a SPECIAL night when the whole clan is in the house..... I salute the girl because she dared to venture into the unknown. And she is lucky -- since tonight is an orientation night, no one actually asked her anything much. Everyone just let her observe the family,umm.. not that anyone was paying attention to her anyway.. hehehhehee ... Wait la.. one day when we come out for yumcha, we will drill her nicely ... lol... *nyek nyek nyek evil evil*

Cool Link

http://www.valuequotes.net/chronological.html

Shops in Sg Wang... still open!!!!

Got money , anything goes man!!!

The shops are still full.... and many people are still buying, including myself. Bought a skirt for myself, and I wanted to buy a top to go with it, but one was too expensive (RM79), the other one was too gaudy... so , well , no didn't get a top. I'll wear some old ones I have during CNY. People won't know hehhee....

Also went to get some new lingerie after so many years ... My shopping adventure ended at 4pm today. :) It's so hot walking all the way from Sg Wang to WG!!! The spring sun... wow.... tomorrow during visiting must use the sun block! I'm sure my beautician would approve of this! :D

Ahahahahaa my dad kena con!!!

This year CNY is most special because finally my dad decided to stick something on the walls of the house... IN other years, we never could stick anything because it dirties the walls - which is also a reason why you don't see any pictures or photoframes in my house , because nails spoils the walls.Yeah absurd right?? No point arguing.... see? non-confontational methods work , you just need to start buying them and sticking them on the wall , and then Dad would follow suit. Hehehe.. I bought two "FOOK"(Happiness) words which costs me only RM3 in the norning market - I'm so pleased with the bargain because my colleague was boasting about her getting it for RM5+ in Petaling Street. Anything cheaper than hers is also good hehhe... and it has gold dust on , and it looks pretty nice too...

OK, anyway, Dad bought "JIU CHOI CHUN POU"(Money Money come come) and he spent RM15 fopr 2 pieces of "FAI CHUN"(auspicious words for CNY).... he surely was conned hehheheh... what to expect, he bought these from Jusco .. Even though they have 70% , it's still EXPENSIVE!!!

But anyway I think my house looks nice... hehehhe....

Luckily they won't decorate the house for Vday... I'll be doomed and heartbroken! Hehehhee.... Love is in the air... everywhere I go....

Happy Chinese New Year

Ohh, how forgetful could I get - I wished the whole world but not the people who actually check my mindless blog!!!

Well, Happy Chinese New Year yeah .. and I'm NOT going to ask you to SAVE SOME ANGPAU for me, nor DRIVE SAFELY, nor EAT LESS, nor BE NICE, nor GAMBLE LESS, nor HAVE A GREAT TIME

... but just have a prosperous , noisy and blessed Chinese new year ok! :P

It's Two

Two persons heard. Not bad. My 5 secs of fame ... hahahhahahha

Retro!!!

I listen to BSB and I'm a fan of BSB-- some would call them Backside Boys, I call them Backstreet Boys. :)

"As long as you love me.... "

It's the time of your life when you sing along with the boybandzzz... yeah man they ROCK! Who cares about them being silly, singing the lyrics which are manufactured -- ohh even their images are manufactured right??? No doubt, I agree!

"I want it that way..."

These guys behind BSB , is even something smarter , I would say... oh u know how it is, each girl would have an idol inside that BSB group , either it's Brian or it's Nick C, or someone prefer the noughty boy guy- they'd go for AJ. Brian won't have much following I guess, he's too nice!Girls like guys who are a bit naughty- umm, ok ,maybe I'm speaking for myself. I'd go for Kevin , the good looking, trimmed , clean and groomed. hehe.. perhaps it's because of the goatee , perhaps it's because of the way he keeps himself silent when all the other boys seem so rowdy.OK, I'm daydreaming.

" You are my fire..."

U know what, this morning when I woke up -- I was really early so I thought I'd do some laundry with some music on - I wanted to play Sarah Brightman when I saw BSB on the shelf - hehehe- apa lagi! Main aje laaa.... Wow it was a step back into the past, I can sing every song of the album!!! Scary weiii.... hehhehe... anyway it was great... sing-along-karaoke* ( Carol, bila mau pegi Redbox, kita ber-k-ok ) Such great memories came back .. and I feel 15 again, when I was still the mm-bop girl... heheheh.... I remember also a group of girls dancing to "As Long As You Love Me" during Teacher's Day( OK it's not me!!! I do Boyzone OK!)

"Everybody.... rock your body .... Backstreet's Back ALRIGHT!!!!"

Anyway, we're here to talk about the BSB music... quit playing games with my heart... I want it that way... show me the meaning of being lonely.... I'll never break your heart .... Quit playing games with my heart... all those feel-good lyrics hehehhee..... OK , I know they sound lame *show your L on your head!* BUT BUT BUT they reminded me of my ohh , young, innocent, pretty, sweet days in St Mary's! Where girls go gaga over guys like MMBoppp's Hanson, and then they would show one another the boybands posters -- see who has a better looking hunk as their idol.... who "sings better" although realy, in truth, they sound alike like one another - it's probably only differentiated by their brandings and packaging. Once in a while , the group would be published as saying "We want to move away and try do something new in our new album" or "We believe the fans would want to see something new" or "We want to have a surprise for our ever-faithful fans"... Things like this .... and you know they are actually trying to say : "our fans have grown old so therefore in order to make more money from these growing fans, we MUST make music that sounds a little more adult now.... not the MMMbopss " --> reason why Hanson died! hehehehhe...and of course they also mean : "we have also grown old , we can't attract the young 12-17 year olds anymore because they have their own cult boybands so we'd better keep to the ones we have".

"Ain't nothing but the heartache..."

BSB knows how to evolve, no doubt about that -- look at their images throughout the years... from the kiddy look, they have started keeping beards and goatees(umm ok Kevin comes into mind) . That's why they sell tens of millions of albums all around the world. I wonder what have become of them now, unlike N*Sync , they didn't go into the pop culture anymore after they became dormant.Perhaps they are feeding from their success so much , they have decided to sit back and relax at the Carribean Islands. Or maybe helping Tsunami reliefs all over the world. Whatever it is, hope they are happy and do good.

"I don't care who you are, where you're from , don't care what you did, as long as you love me..."

Umm... I won a CD :D

It's a pleasant surprise .... hehehe .... and it's all about timing I guess.
It's an Andrea Bocelli - I've never had an Andrea Bocelli before in my collection , so this is a nice thing to have.(err.. what's his latest album's name?)

Anyway before winning the CD, I've called a million times, each time it's either "Number Busy" or "Error In Connection" -- more than usual! Normally I'll get probably 2 or 3 EICs and a bunch of NBs. Yesterday night was the other way round- weird. Anyway I had a pretty good feeling that I would have won the CD yesterday night hehehe... :D

Ohh before I won the CD, the DJ was asking me all sorts of questions - what I did last weekend, do I celebrate CNY, no shopping?,my age, my name, my address, my IC and my contact number. Lastly, he said someone from the marketing department will contact me so that I may collect the CD. Perhaps have to go to Astro to do so.

Ohh and there was one interesting spin-off from this. Hehhee... for me to know, for u NOT to know.:P

I'm just praying God will bless me next week in my exam just as much as He had blessed me with this one yesterday night. :):):)

Bubbles for lunch

Care for a bubble drink for lunch? Wonderful... keeps ur head clear. haha...

Wisest is she...

... who knows that she does not know....

When you think you have gone through it all , no darling, you haven't.
Always be ready to be filled again - like an empty vessel.
There's not going to be any warnings.
When it's here , it's here.

Don't look for trouble

Let trouble look for us. As of now, there's thousands of problems waiting to be solved. So like the Chinese says :

"Be patient for a moment so that the wind will stop howling and the waves will be peaceful , Make a step back so that the sea becomes bigger and the sky becomes empty."

*Yan yat see, fung peng long jeng.
Thui yat pou , hoi fot thin hung"

Escape into the peaceful world , people. Peace out.

Bad memory

Can't remember the number.alamak.

Someone sms me just now, and I don't know who that person is... had to reply and ask him/her who he/she is. That's the problem when the phone has no place to store more numbers than it should. The next time I buy a phone, I have to make sure it has expandable memory space. And also PDA functions. Yummy yummy... hehehe..

Something splendid to sing to myself during Valentine's Day when all Lovebird are flying in the air hahahahaa

Why do birds
Suddenly appear?
Everytime you are near
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you

Why do stars
Fall down from the sky?
Everytime you walk by
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you

(*) on the day that you were born

The angels got together and decided
To create a dream come true
So they sprinkled moondust in your hair
Of gold and starlight in your eyes of blue

(**) that is why all the girls in town
Follow you all around
Just like me
They long to be
Close to you

Repeat (*)
Repeat (**)

Just like me
They long to be
Close to you
Woo... close to you...

A little more on s a r c a s m

Just a few notes on S A R C A S M:

Definition:making of remarks intended to mock the person referred to (who is normally the person addressed), a situation or thing.

  • It is often used in a humorous manner
  • expressed through particular vocal intonations
  • done by simply over-emphasizing the actual statement, or particular words of it.

Why sarcasm is hard to detect?

Because it is vocally-oriented, sarcasm is often hard to pick up in written messages and is often misinterpreted.

What great people think about sarcasm?

It was described as "the lowest form of wit" by Oscar Wilde.

For more: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm

"True insights come from within"

"True insights come from within" - I was driving home from church just now,and this line just came into my mind, don't know why. Perhaps another level of enlightening? I have no idea - but I learned that when I'm short-tempered, it's alway always good to go away for a while to gain a new perspective, to find faults within myself, to search my own heart, to see where I have gone wrong.

The answers are written all over the place - in the sermon (being disobedient to parents!), in the lunch debate ( personal choice ). I can't even begin to describe how I understand , but somehow I'm more focused now, and my heart and mind definitely cleared so much more . Also thanks to Carol who listened to my grouses until 4.30 this morning - it's so nice being able to tell her what worries me, and what truly truly matters to my heart. It's great to be able to have a friend who listens.

Sometimes, it's so great to just move and wait for answers rather than to think of it until your head cracks. Just why I love Sundays - it's a day of answers!I spent weeks trying to figure out things like acceptance, love, romance, relationships, meaning of life, singlehood, responsibility, obedience to parents, et cetera et cetera et cetera.I can't even begin to tell you how much I learned from the whole incident of meeting a person who is so much older than me -- and his words totally knocked myself off my complacent life. You know about being complacent? You don't even know you're there!!! It's so scary, it's like being led into a big black hole , your life grows darker and darker and then when you're there, you're just there. Already in the dark and being in the dark , something like Matrix. Are you willing to take the blue pill or the red? When someone is offering the truth , we often don't want to hear it because we're so complacent with out lives, our jobs our beliefs our diets our TV programs our fav football club. Any small comment or any passing remard just ticks us off like fireworks and we get so worked up because of a remark passed by soemone who don't even care? Sounds silly, but that is how I lead my life all this while.

I feel I have gone through so much of changes for the past one month or so. My sarcasm was knocked off completely out of me, thanks to a brother who kindly showed me that. And admitting it to myself , and to God, was the hardest thing to do. Sarcasm was the way of life - I was a debater , and sarcasm works to get rid of your opponents the fastest way you want to. Sarcasm was a way to treat people who were nasty to me. Sarcasm made me popular among the university mates - for both good and bad. I was one quick, witty girl who thinks as fast as she speaks. Sarcasm has always always been a way to protect myself from getting hurt , a means to get to know who can take crap out of me and who can't, a way to make friends without getting too serious with them. I always thought it was a great tool. But the tongue is a dangerous tool - in fact it is the most lethal organ in the body. We can lift God with praises of our lips , and we can also curse Man with the same lips. And I have been doing exactly that for the past 22 years of my life. It's a sin, it's a deadly sin. One night I felt so bad, I even asked God to take my voice away from me- so that I could stop sinning. I cried many nights thinking of how hurtful I was to many people around me - those who have both loved and hated me. And I'm truly sorry because I have done so. It's hard to say sorry , and I hope that although I cannot personally say it to them, I hope God will forgive me for these.

Streamyx

I'm definitely getting one.

Feb 19-20 : Malaysian Airlines Travel Fair. Go get your discounts if you'er planning to fly overseas this year. I'm planning to get them NEXT year, when the travel plans are more certain and when there are a little bit more money that I have for next year. Ohh can't wait for 2006.

Well, then again, travelling to somewhere nearer such as BKK is not bad idea. Perhaps Neha (and even Jude) would love to see me there! :) Must ask them to bring me to the red light ares. hehehhee... Maybe ask Neha to plan a nice holiday in BKK and northern Thai for us.

Plan for tonite

Definitely NOT study!!!! gotta get out and hang out, been a hermit for the past many many many days, it's time to break away and do something which makes my heart happy. Too many heartaches - now have to get some chicken soup for the broken heart . See la, who knows I may get an ice cream to make myself happy again - sundae perhaps , from McD. that's the nearest right? :)

Kids!

Learn from kids... I'm amazed at the way they speak .. sounds really matured when you are somehow feeling *stupified*, hehhee.... Well, Ok, i was watching Astro cannel 30 and there's this kids program who are asked "matured" questions like "what is beauty?" "What is more important - beauty or character ? " things like this.

It just makes me wonder -- how parents play an important part in shaping a child's mind. Kids nowadays speak like how I would if I was 12. Just the advancement of science and maths, as well as the cognitive development . I wonder if it's the environment or it's the milk that they drink nowadays hehehhe...

Wuuussshhhhaaaaaaaa

Thanks to VT, I'm back .. up again!
The spirit of Wuuushhhhaaaaa.... hehehhe..
Won't need the hammie nor the pillow , nor the innocent humans to beat. :)
I love this life.
OK, don't wana sound too scary now. I'm perfectly sane , although this is like talking to myself.
*hey don't deny this , you talk to yourself most of the time - under your breathe or silently in ur head. Try write them down, it'll surprise you how much your mind wants to tell you stuffs.*

SOS

2 Samuel 24:14 (New International Version):

David said to God, "I am in deep distress. Let us fall into the hands of the LORD , for his mercy is great; but do not let me fall into the hands of men."

...

Am I doing more than I could? Saying more than I should?
How much can I bear? What is my limit?
I realy don't know anymore.

I did the most unbelievable thing today....

I stopped my dad from giving donation to a Buddhist monk carrying a bowl and many Buddhist strings. My dad was about to give him the money when suddenly, just at that moment, I don't know what strikes me, but I kept on saying "No. No. NO!" I've never done that before!!!!! OMG.... And I locked eyes with the monk, he pointed his index finger at me, muttered something under his breathe and then he said he dont want the money anymore. And he walked away.

What have I done..... Got **hard** shelling from my parents after that. Gosh.

I can only say a few things about this:
1. Never give donation to some unknown parties - you don't know what they do with the money. Be careful with what you see, because they are not what you see.Use each of your sense to fathom it all - we are given 5.
2. Perhaps I was too harsh in stopping my dad.But I did it. Out of god-knows-why.
3. Why don't some people see as I see?

Kind regards,
=:Someone in need of answers and not more questions:=

An email which tickles me.

Women are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. Most men won't want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they just get the rotten apples from the ground that aren't as good, but easy....... So the apples at the top think something is wrong with them, when in reality, they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right man to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree.

And... Men are like a fine wine. They start out as grapes, and it's up to women to stomp the crap out of them until they turn into something acceptable to have dinner with.

For someone who has a small faith like me...

Matthew 8:26 (New International Version)

He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.

Troubles

God, You gave us a vision
A vision to do Your work
A vision to make Your people One and Strong
Your plans are always wonderful
Your plans are always good.

Now that You have given us a vision,
Help us to see further O Lord,
Help us to see that You are in control,
Help us to know that You are here in our midst.

Tell us what to do , O Father,
You have not let us go,
Bring us to the place You want us to be , Father,
Do not forsake the dreams You gave us.

We pray that You give us an answer,
Show us a way,
A place where Your Will shall be done,
A place where only You reign,
A place of Your choice.

So Help us Lord
In Your faithful hands, we entrust our spirit.Amen.

I've people asking me , I hope out of curiosity and NOT of contention, about who is that girl who wants to be married. Hahaha.. I won't tell you guys who, I believe in keeping secrets like this. :):):) But of course , if you know me well enough , you would be able to tell the exact person of who I am talking about here. Then again, if you don't know me well enough, why would you care who is getting married isn't it? Hehehhe..

Notice the difference. Posted by Hello

Wedding Bells !

I just got a shock of my life!!!

A close friend who is all along playful, ziesty and a clubber by her own right just declared to me that she is ready to get married with someone whom she started dated not too long ago... OMG!!! Ohh dear, someone in my own gang is getting married... and I'm truly truly happy for her ; is this some kind of movie-turn-real life-situation I have to deal with here?

She was telling me she will NOT mind getting married to him , well I have met this guy and he seem to be real nice though he didn't say much. So as usual, I played the devil's advocate , peppering her with many "what ifs?" -- I'm surprised she took it so easily and answered in a simple way - She is willing. But that has to be 3 to 4 years away. And now they are planning to to do som things together that only committed couples do. I'm amazed again at how much trust she puts in him , and him in her. They've been great friends for 2 years plus now, and finally probably this is the best ending ever. :)

Wow... one by one my friends are building up their happy family , while I'm still here swimming in the sea full of fish. If you need someone to plan your wedding, well I'm availing myself , dear. :) On that day, I know I'l be smiling and tearing at the same time. Can't wait to see little kids running around me , especially those with wide grins exclaiming "Aunty Mun Yee!!!" Hahahahhahaaha...

On True Wisdom in God's eyes

Proverbs 1:7:
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge,
but fools despise wisdom and discipline.

Proverbs 1:22 :
"How long will you simple ones love your simple ways?
How long will mockers delight in mockery
and fools hate knowledge?

Proverbs2: 6- 8 :
For the LORD gives wisdom,
and from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.

He holds victory in store for the upright,
he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
for he guards the course of the just
and protects the way of his faithful ones.

Proverbs 2:11 :
Discretion will protect you,
and understanding will guard you.

Proverbs 3:5 - 6 : (my favourite)
Trust in the LORD with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.

Mrs Mathews, former principal of CBN.

Watch your thoughts ; they become words.
Watch your words ; they become actions.
Watch your actions ; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

*These very same words were told by my principal on her last speech when she retired from CBN many many years ago. I remember you, Mrs Mathews. Hope you are happy wherever you are.*

Ebooks?

Is reading an e-Book as satisfying as reading it on a real book?
No doubt they are all free, they r convenient, but what happens to the nice feeling of the fresh new pages of the book when u flip it?

February 1st = A new beginning

It's great. Yesterday sucked big time because of some unspoken incident happening to me (*hope it never happened to me nor anyone else anymore!*) ; but today is like a new lease of life!!! Everything seem like new... and happy. The stuffs around me look just, pretty...

*It's weird , but I haven't been smiling since this morning when I woke up.Freako MY!*

One more to go..

This is the toughest part of any race. When you have just ONE more to go, ahhh!!!!!Sustain, I must!!! One more lap to go, one more chapter to go... Just one more.

The Miracle of Friendship

There's a miracle called friendship

that dwells within the heart

and you don't know how it happens

or where it gets its start.

But the happiness it brings you

always gives a special gift,

and you realize that friendship

is God's most precious gift.
