Flu and the sore throat

What's the best way to cure flu and sore throat and cough when you already had the antibiotics dosage , you've finished it and yet you still have not gotten well?

"Make no Mistakes"

Bush said this line in his speech following the Sept 11th incident ; where USA and the rest of the world was caught "unaware"( note the inverted-commas because someone did claim that they knew about the purported evil plan before it happened and yet the CIA and the FBI did not pay heed to it ; too much of false positives all the time maybe...)

I wonder how much has been done to alleviate the terrorism problem in homeland America - and how many of these measures are actually effective. Recent tsunami events on a day after Christmas 2004 and Easter 2005 shows our unpreparedness towards facing the unknown and the unevitable. If another crash happens at another Twin Tower such as KLCC, how would it impact us? How would it impact the emotions of the entire world ? Are we going to launch another hunt against the terrorists or hold another Force Of Nature II concert ? How do we prepare our own minds and hearts against heartless acts as such?

Make no mistakes twice. We've been caught in the act twice during the recent earthquakes - let it not be a third time. Do what's right and do not wait till the last minute, when every thing is already too late.

Jesus says this : "No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father." (Matthew 24:36)

What warning has Christ given that we might not be taken by surprise by this great event? It's in the Bible, Luke 21:34-36, TLB. "Watch out! Don't let My sudden coming catch you unawares; don't let Me find you living in careless ease, carousing and drinking, and occupied with the problems of this life, like all the rest of the world. Keep a constant watch."

Do what is right.

Murphy's Law

http://community-2.webtv.net/Babajani1/MurphysLaw/

Blogging Me head

Haven't been writing a lot these days, but certainly been thinking alot.

  • Too close to comfort -versus- courtesy and comfort?
  • Jesus Christ -versus- courtesy and comfort to accommodate others' beliefs?
  • Respect to friends -versus- need to address issue of the spiritual warfare?
  • Work -versus- love for work?
  • Need to work -versus- joy for work?
  • Jun -versus- others? :P

Cocky statement made to ensure you flare up if you are a stateman

Was just going through the morning paper on the development of World Bank and accension of an elected representative to the United Nations(UN), and found a few statements which are bound to invite more terrorists for tea in the United States. *Sorry to my fellow American friend who is reading this, but it's really what your country fellowman said*

Ok, just a little background of things before the statements itself :
USA is in the process of selecting their new rep to UN. They also want to elect a new President for World Bank, where USA has the most say in simply because they have a lot of money in it. World Bank(WB) and the International Monetary Bank(IMF) has traditionally been US's forte because they contribute a large amount of funds to be channelled to Third World countries in the form of grants and loans. The logic is this, when you have a lot of money in a pool of fund , you tend to have the largest say in it as well. It's not JUST any bank, it's the World Bank. It's not JUST any fund, it's the International Monetary Fund ! These bodies are *supposed* to be independent and unbiased in giving out loans to deserving countries, and not loans attached with rules such as subtle support for the USA in the UN, or even allowing chemical waste dumping in their nations, or be at the losing end of the carbon trading in the world. Politics is dark, and USA administration demonstrated it best through this mean. Critics are afraid that these bodies will just be another arm of US's unilateralism policies. This causes harm not only to the America and her citizens around the world, it also entices and encourage freedom firghters and insurgents, to fight back unilateralism. What brand of democracy is America pursuing?

By tradition, the Americans pick the heads of WB and IMF.This time around, though, things seem more shaky because the two names which are lingering amongst the inner circle are two persons who raise many eyebrows due to their extreme views on the UN and the World Bank.

John Bolton , candidate to be an Ambassador of USA to the United Nations

Q1:What is your view on UN? -->Reply: "The UN? There is no such thing as the United Nations. If the UN building in New York lost 10 stories, it wouldn't make a bit of difference."

Q2: Reform of the Security Council? --> Reply: "If I were redoing the Security Council, I'd have one permanent member: the United States."

Q3: International Law? Reply : "It is a big mistake for us to grant any validity to the international law.

Paul Wolfowitz , candidate to be the President of World Bank

  • Deputy Defense Secretary of United States (Profile here)
  • Consistently push for the end of the US doctrine of the international containment
  • Believes USA has the right to pre-emptive actions whenever it sees fit.
  • Extends "Benevolent Hegemony" over the rest of the world. (i.e. his brand of good things for the world)
  • Famous for being the forefront man for directing the Iraqi invasion
  • Military analyst for Ronald Reagan
  • Some of his quotes

God bless America, and God bless us all...

S E P E T

Great show.Great portrayal of Malaysian way of life. Great storyline. Simple and nice, not much hype. Just like how life should be - peace.

Sometimes , in movies, they should just go straight to the point. This is one movie which doesn't waste time.

Love is protrayed as sweet, real. False love and pretentious love is lethal and deadly. Lust and sex should be left outside the bedroom, out of wedlock. Lust kills.

Time is out of our control. Do not think you have alot of it. Enjoy what today holds, because you can never grab the next moment. Appreciate love. Appreciate the people around you.

Thanks for the timeout with me , dear.. if you're reading this!

One Liners for your Car.

1. Give God what's right -- not what's left.

2. Man's way leads to a hopeless end -- God's way leads to an endless hope.

3. A lot of kneeling will keep you in good standing.

4. He who kneels before God can stand before anyone.

5. In the sentence of life, the devil may be a comma--but never let him be the period.

6. Don't put a question mark where God puts a period.

7. Are you wrinkled with burden? Come to the church for a face-lift.

8. When praying, don't give God instructions - just report for duty.

9. Don't wait for six strong men to take you to church.

10. We don't change God's message -- His message changes us.

11. The church is prayer-conditioned.

12. When God ordains, He sustains.

13. WARNING: Exposure to the Son may prevent burning.

14. Plan ahead -- It wasn't raining when Noah built the ark.

15. Most people want to serve God, but only in an advisory position.

16. Suffering from truth decay? Brush up on your Bible.

17. Exercise daily -- walk with the Lord.

18. Never give the devil a ride -- he will always want to drive.

19. Nothing else ruins the truth like stretching it.

20. Compassion is difficult to give away because it keeps coming back.

21. He who angers you controls you.

22. Worry is the darkroom in which negatives can develop.

23. Give Satan an inch & he'll be a ruler.

24. Be ye fishers of men -- you catch them & He'll clean them.

25. God doesn't call the qualified, He qualifies the called.

26. Read the Bible -- It will scare the hell out of you.

Unpredictable Life

Life's unpredictable. You'll never know what's gonna happen tonight, this afternoon , one hour from now.... the next minute, or even the next second. I drove home yesterday evening without knowing that I would be watching a free movie at Midvalley an hour and a half later. Well, the movie isn't too great really, Miss Congeniality 2 seem to have lost its fun without Michael Caine and all his pomp, but seeing Sandra Bullock again do bring back old memories of Speed. She looked the same Sandra, the nice girl-next-door. I wish to see Meg Ryan back on screen again... wonder where she went. She and her cute button nose and the way she smiles and grins and chatters endlessly when she wants to. She and Tom Hanks look great together in those romantic comedies which never fail to melt my heart every time I watch them. :)

Ahh, yes speaking about romantic comedies , HITCH is an OK watch. Many tips and tricks which both girls and guys use during courtship and anti-courtship were shown here. Great tips for those who are on a lookout for a partner but finding it hard to make the first move. *If you don't get one , or you end up being slapped for no apparent reason, hey, do it on your own risk alright???*

Still wondering about Meg Ryan... Hmm.. oh yeah, my all time fav, Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Who can beat them and their little modern fairy tale? :)

The Parable of the Stone and the Lalang

"but then its their weakness. u only get irritated if u`re weak."

"dont support any groups la.. become lalang.which is hated by everyone hehhehe..."

"nope, i`m not a lalang. i`m a stone."

"if one becomes a lalang then can support anythg they like."

"stone dun support any team, they stand on their own hard."

Food for thought.

The Evidence of Working Is Bad for health!

When I'm tired and bored of looking at my work , I'd go disturb some friends online.Thank God for MSN and YM!!!!

Work is so boring until I had to cheer myself up by looking at my friendster page and start writing testimonial for my friends. Reading their testimonials make me understand how each of us have a different personality when meeting with different people - diversity makes people interesting and I'm glad I met many interesting people in life. These are the ones who make you smile, cry, laugh, and laugh all over again! After that it's back to work.

Ok, back to work.

I am the Epitome of Goodness!

One time use of the phrase above (reproduced in any way - online or offline, printed or written)... RM 10 to the originator i.e. ME .

End of story. hahahaha...

*posted by : Food frenzied Firewalker
*Hard to fast. The second week of fasting is getting tougher. Stomach is asking for fish and meat already :( Seeing someone next to you eating fresh fish, steamy lala and friend sotong in salad sauce isn't the best way to fast, especially when you're very hungry . Well, to the counting , only 7 more days to Easter... pray harder... hehehheh all together now!

I am a Force Of Nature

1.Backstreet Boys

They look a bit jaded , but at least they can still dance a bit, albeit dancing a bit rusty. The boys have grown into full men already now... no more MMBOP style boys, but actually men who look macho and steady. I would say Howie D looks fresh and clean. Nick Carter put on alot of weight, he'd better lose alot of weight to be able to dance properly! Brian looks very cute, the innicent and nice guy , your typical boy-next-door type. AJ surprises me with his singinig talents, he could reach really high pitch and long breath when he do the high notes. Of course, Kevin Richardson looks the best alright. Why? Because he is my favourite in the group la! Abuthen??

They performed a new single for their next album. Can't remember the name of the song, but it sounded good and it kind of less-boybandish *for the boyband haters, I guess...* No more "as long as you love me-s" and "I want it that way...." but more matured song lyrics, for young teen-boppers turning into young-adults who are supposed to be wondering about life and love and everything else under the sky, like myself.....

2. BoysIIMen - Romeos

I wish they would sing "One Sweet Day" but no... they didn't .. maybe because Mariah Carey wasn't there. *Hey guys, I can do that part , you know!* But they sang all the popular hits - Mama, On Bended Knees, End of the Road, I'll Make Love To You. Great thing to actually watch them sing live.... I'll never get this chance if I had not gone to this concert, unless I want to travel to USA to watch their concert. Think COST!

3. Wyclef Jean - A crowd pleaser

He has a DJ which plays good club music, a bodyguard who dances and drives a Harley...but he himself is a guitar player as well.. Hwahhhh this guy arr... I don't even know who the heck this guy is.. except that he is an Afro-American who travelled 26 hours *long enough time to NOT allow anyone in the stadium to stick their butts to the chair during his time on stage!!!* He is a real crowd -pleaser , he knows how to tease the crowd by allowing us to sit for 3 minutes and then singing another song to make us go all frenzy again! And what's the next song which he sings so that we can rest for 3 minutes???? Quantanamera... he got the whole stadium crazyyyy!!!! I tell ya, he is SUPERB!

4. Black Eye Peas - the craziest bunch of the night
Woooooo I can't say anything more than saying that they are GOODDDDD, ok, GREAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT.... They sing, they dance , they rap, they play music, they do all kinds of nonsense on the stage which actually grabs the attention of the crowd in the stadium. Crazy bunch of artistes! I've never heard all their songs before except for 'Where Is the Love' and 'Shut Up'.. but after witnessing what they can do (dance bonelessly, shake endlessly, sing well and play music themselves )and hearing what they can sing, I think "Where is the Love" is the understatement to what they can perform.....

Other performers:
1) Lady Sings All k-ok session : Jackie Chan and a lady- sang "Ming Ming Bai Bai Ni De Xin "(Understanding Your Heart)
His fav song obviously, but I'd rather he do some acrobatic stunts .. perhaps flying down from 3rd storey of the stadium with fire on his legs... hahhahaa..and then meet Michelle Yeoh, his lover on the way flying down , and then they gazed into each others' eyes.. and then they stay in the midair for 10seconds, slo-mo back into the stage together.... wow.. perfect! *Any resemblance to any Kungfu shows such as Crouching Cats and Hidden Dogs are coincidental :P*

2) Ravishing : Sheila Majid was great
... great dress , great voice, great rapport, great smile, great confidence.... I love that orange dress!!!!!! And she doesn't look a day older than when I first saw her , as far as my memory is concerned., that is. Her body is still slim, and her voice.... what can I say? World Class.... Woooo..hoooo.... I was half-wishing she could sing Lagenda, but then again, in an occasion like this one, perhaps it aint proper to sing any more sad songs.... She sang Warna and also Sinaran. Good enough for me... :D:D:D

3) Metrosexual Man : Anuar Zain
He was more of a model than a singer that night. He was doing the famous smiles and the all familiar waves to the crowd, but nothing that we havent seen before.... If he had not sang that duet called "Jauh" with Sheila, he may not hold the audience too well. Luckily he came out before all the heavy-weights...

4) Innuendo : Innuendo
They TRIED to be the crowd pleaser... and boy, they tried very hard. But you know, sometimes somethings fail you and so it happened that night. The sound system screwed them up nicely, and their voice was barely audible amidst the live band. It could have been a perfect blend of music and sweet singing, but alas... Sound Engineers to be blaimed here.

5) Young sweet princess : Dayang Norfaizah
Wanting to replace either Ning Baizura or Siti Norhaliza or both*I suspect* , she wasn't given a chance to prove her salt. Sang little and didn't communicate to the audience much, although this stage is one place where she could have strut her stuff since many foreign dignitaries and important VVIPs were there that night. She looks great anyway... :)

6) Rebel Prince-turn-Good Boy: Nicholas Tse
When I see this guy, I can only remember his crime. But everyone deserves a second chance, therefore I hope he is knows he is being freed by grace. He sang a Canto number that night, a song which has lots of Oriental influence.Nice song, would have been better if he had a longer time on stage to see him strum the guitar and hopefully not too tempted to smash it in front of the likes of Paula Abdul and Bai Ling.. hahhahahhaa....

7) Solo dancing :Yumiko Cheng
Pity her... I don't know much about this girl since she is still new in the HK musical industry, except that she used to be a ballet dancer, she has a pretty face and she sang fairly well. She didn't get good response frm the crowd that night but I hope this didn't break her heart. Everyone starts somewhere ,and with some training and push from the record companies and radio stations, she would make it in NO TIME...

8) Emcee De Orange : Michelle Yeoh
One beautiful, graceful , fantastic and inspiring woman... that's what I would say about Michelle Yeoh. Albeit being Bond Gal, or Jean Todt's Gal... she still kept her identity and refusing to sit back and relax. She keeps moving, keeps updating herself with the latest activity. You can see her in much rigour, much energy, a lot of zest in whatever she puts her heart in. My role model definitely. The only thing perhaps she should improve on? Her public speaking skills.. Try not look at the paper Michelle, you're my role model... you can do public speaking!!! Ohh, btw she looks cute as a translater for Jackie Chan. As for Jackie Tai Kor.. I hope he speaks Canto the next time and not put himself in a difficult position.:)

9) Dinty tame looking things: Soong Ai Ling , Camelia and Bai Ling
But they kick a$$ ok, don't pray pray with them!!! They look beautiful on the stage , although not much time there... They did make a good impression. Camelia in particular, looked wonderful in that green dress. Wonder where she got that from...

10) Teacher, how do you sing ahhh?? :Clay Aiken
Nerdy-looking cikgu turned superstar overnight. He still looks VERY down-to-earth , with khaki bermudas and a green shirt and a belt. Also holding a paper to read *Whats with public speaking talent?? They can do it la, Mr Organizer!*, he still has the little nerdish look when he speaks. I wish he sings too!

11) A few other artistes : One looked like Ricky Martin, can't remember his name but he stars in NYPD Blue. He also made a brief appearance on stage. Also Lance and Joey of N'Sync... bonus man!!! Hehhee.. Joey was very big as usual. Hey man, you won't be able to dance soon if you're continuing your current diet! Too bad they didn't do "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" .. would be fun!Didn't manage to see Paula Abdul though.. Carol and Malc were luckier... We also saw Tan Sri Razali Ismail on stage.

12) The Queen from Indonesia : Ruth Sahanaya
This is ONE BIG BONUS... I've never heard her live. She looks great and she sang even better. She wore a white lacey dress that night.... Looks wonderful on her ; almost regal-like minus the tiara. She sang a duet with Halle Berry's ex-husband *can't remember his name either* and she looked comical because she had to crane her neck up high to see him next to her. Hahhaha..... Perhaps they should arrange for a not-so-vertically-challenged-singer for her next time.:P Otherwise, she is fantastic. Like I said, bonus track for the night.

13) Grammy Winner : Lauryn Hill
She can sing .. she can sing... she sings so well until I can't describe much more about her *partly because my fingers are aching now since I've typed such a long entry*. Ask me when you see me online la... if you really must know about her.

The little things that could have been much better:
1.Too much breaks
2.Too many people smoking
3.Lousy sound system sometimes - barely hear what the lyrics are!
4.No bringing in camera, water and food, ESPECIALLY CAMERA!!

The crowd : Fantastic. Very supportive and very active , responsive crowd.
Our seats : Good, but not much difference with RM82.Tough luck. Better get either RM552 or RM82 next time.
My company : The girl was on the quiet side. Lillian, why so quiet?? The guy? Haha... Sweet memories for me, my dear . It's just the way we groove, baby... How about you?

Overall:

This is one concert I didn't regret coming to. Where else on earth would you get crowd like the above , singing 7 hours for you, and not even a penny into their own pockets except for the expenses covered? It's the meaning of the concert which also appealed to me, besides BSB.

Humans are a force of nature. Amen.

Yahoo! My Streamyx is working, finally...

Sometimes I just don't understand why, but maybe it's meant to be that patients will always need to see the doctor to get well. Not talking about myself... I'm talking about the modem I have... hehhe.. it's a super weird modem! It was not operating before this, but they have done something to the modem which allows it to connect to the Streamyx now.Don't know how, don't know why. Will find out.

It is the Broadband Age, it's not the Stone Age!

OK, I finally got myself a Broadband line at home. ADSL Streamyx RM66. Got a DLink ADSL Modem as wellfrom Low Yat, future wireless plan still on hold though. No money la! It's not that hard to turn my home into a wireless SOHO, since the ADSL modem can be conected to an AP and there I go!

Now I need to figure out how to actvate it in my house.

S E P E T

Many good reviews about the movie. Don't know how many thumbs-up.

Among the facts of the movie:
1. Directed by Yasmin Ahmad - an advertising giant-turn-director.
2. Hero of the show is the Creative Director in her company.
3. All actors are non-performer background.
4. This is a movie shot entirely in IPOH!!!
5. Language : Malaysian ( which includes BM , English , Canto , Hokkien)
6. Jokes are very Malaysianised... perhaps it's like Lat cartoons? Hehhehe..

But one friend said it has a stupid ending.... I have't watched it yet.Might go sometime soon.Maybe next Wed? How about it , Jun? :)

Is church a Church anymore?

"We live in an increasingly fragmented and isolated world. That mindset has influenced the way we approachour relationship with God. Faith is a solo pursuit. Many young adults in particular have given up on thechurch. If they do attend it isn’t something that theyinvest themselves in passionately.I believe the church is the most exciting thing to bea part of on the planet. It’s the privilege of everyChristian in every generation to play a small part inthe very big and very awesome story God is writing."

Never underestimate the power of parents

Trust me on this. Their influences reach far and wide in our thoughts, our feelings, our choices , and our decisions. Hahhaa...

Wahh.. finally!

Things has been pretty hectic in the office for the past few days since I came back from holiday. Piles of work waiting for me ..

Meeting for load balancing for WG, email backup summary report, help desk issues, streamyx not working(?) , phone line's out(???) , server patching , virus attack on someone's email account, formatting of someone's PC which is deeply infected by this stupid spyware, another PC whose email inbox crashed because she made a compact cleaning which is equivalent to the defragmentation of the whole hard disk , ADSL line instable / down , someone's notebook can't access the eamil server due to a faulty network card - gosh I need to send that to the service center in Shah Alam- , someone from China cannot get into our email server , list is endless.

No matter what , I'm going home early today. :P

Consulting

... is?

CON + INSULT = CONSULTING

Preparing networks, and people, for times of trouble

1.Preparing a company for disaster, above all, involves planning, both in terms of technological redundancy and staffing.

2.When looking at a diagram of a company's network infrastructure and wide area network links, one should be able to put a finger over any device on the chart -- as if it were down -- and know that the network can keep running.

3. While most large providers, such as UUNet, have their own backbones, other second-tier providers may use a large provider's backbone. That means that, even though a company may have two service providers, its data is traveling on one path.

4.Route optimization : This method judges traffic conditions on the network and helps to ensure that data takes the quickest route given the current conditions on the Internet.

5. Plan : Wanted to ensure that its IT operations could continue even if all of its personnel were unable to access its buildings.

Personal Note : How do we do this?

OK, as promised , the second day of the trip was like this...

Before 7am:

Woke up, didn't brush teeth, didn't brush the hair, didn't wash face, just walked out of the room and saw the sun rising. CT is already up and YL is sleeping like a baby. Ukwan already up and very wide awake. Can't remember much about Jun's whereabouts. I think he is awake too. Oh, yeah I think he is. Malcolm... dont know about him. Saw the sun rising, very happy. Stretched myself a bit and then , oopppsss the sun rose a little too fast. Ran back into my room and grab my faithful camera. Snap snap snap. It was pink and purple and orangy.

A little past 7am - 830am:

Ukwan, Jun, CT and Malc on the beach looking at something really interesting. So that's on my cam - ohh okie , they got a crab. What about Titanic posing by wonderful CT? And then I got a little more adventurous ; took off my sandals and walked around the seaside and played with the water a bit. It was quite fun because the sea is on low tide now and the waves are not that strong , so we had a very wide sea side to play with. No one was building sand castle, weird eh? There's a lot of sea shells and some rubbish on the beach, and we could see Ukwan playing treasure hunt. He found one purple sea shell which I used as my model. (It's displayed on the
blog.) Also found, some white pieces of shell, when broken looks like rocksalt or whitewashed stones. We really had no idea what they were. Ok, so I was being nosy, walked on the beach and washing my feet with the nice cool sea water and then, OUCH... something cut my sole. I hope it's not a stringe thrown by some AIDS drug addict - oh man - gross!! Else, I'd be ... : '-(Had to hop back to the abode to wash my sole. Yeah process of washing feet was recorded on the cam.)

Back to the beach. Took some silly pictures with everyone. Hehehe... Still got me in stitches , some of them. One was of me looking as if I'm pregnant *blaim the wind* , one was us loooking like cannibals chanting around the fire , one was me holding the sun , another was me wearing the sun on my left hand. Did some model posing as well :) We climbed the big boulders *this time with sandals* which were previously unreachable due to the high tides and the strong waves and managed to take some pictures from there. Very cool.

Breakfast time:

Table tennis. Round robin tabletennis with 6 people. Wind is still strong, and I love it. The only major set back is that if I don't tie my hair , it would make me look like "Pak Fat Mor Lui" (The Lady Devil). Breakfast was sardines and tuna bread , coffee, mee-in-my-mug or biscotti. Take your pick.

Lunchtime , 1pm:

CT drove us down to Kemaman in Ukwan's car. It's the first time she took his car, so I was kinda praying hard. But then again, she has driven a Merc before , so well.. this should be *wet wet water* for her. We just took a road up north towards KT. We were lost in the Kuantan harbour ; went into it and came out again. No boats at sight, but we could see it was a reasonably-built harbour next to the sea. Very well maintained. I could see some hillslopes being cut for more development. A long while later , we finally reached Kemaman. Went straight to lunch, after walking around looking for a shop which sells good stuffed crabs. OK, we're not really bothered, because all of us were to hungry to bother really! Ordered clams in ginger sauce, fried chilli prawns, fried belacan kangkung , taufu , and obviously stuffed crabs! I can't remember what else we had. Ah, yea, I had longan drink to cool my body off the heat. I went to the washroom and found out that it was really really clean, to my pleasant surprise. You know how toilets in Malaysia can be , rite?

Right after the lunch, it's tea time! We went straight to Hai Peng - the coffee shop which was recommended by the inn-keeper. Oh my, they served toasted bread with peanut butter and bananas.... what a killer combination!!! They also served the original yin-yong, bread with butter and kaya in buns and normal bread. It's not that great, but it is something because it's matched with the smooth aromatic coffee... ohh lala...I had Vietnamese coffee which was filled by this weird-looking metal holder which is used to sieve the beans out from the hot water. Ukwan checked out the price as it looked prettty neat really ; it was a whopping RM28! Now,
unless someone give me that as a souvenir, I won't buy that. Right after snapping some more pictures, we saw this interesting sign board on the way back - a woman with headscarf and a writing on the board : "Menutup Aurat Adalah Wajib" . Then I looked at CT and said no wonder everyone was looking at us weirdly, we weren't wearing headscarf, and plus she was wearing this super-duper short pants and sleeveless t-shirt... Memang menjolok mata! :))

Evening:

On the way back to abode. Stopped to get keropok lekor in Cherating -->the original objective to go to Kemaman ; but we ended up in buying in Cherating instead. There's two variation of the same lekor - one was fried , the other was steamed. If you can't imagine how it tasted like, it's like fish cakes we always have when we eat yong tau fu.Really nice ; not like the ones in KL - full of flour! Next up, we went to Club Med .. err, almost I mean. They wouldn't let us in unless we pay them , would they? Well, who cares? We ended up visiting the turtles at the Turtle sanctuary next to Club Med. Nope, there's no turtles laying eggs at this time of the year, plus the current was really strong . I'm sure turtle mums would choose areas which are more cosy to lay their babies right?

Night:

Ok, because we ate a lil too much during the lunch hour, all of us stopped eating proper food at night. Dinner was white wine, maggi-in-mug, Famous Amos cookies, more lekor in keropok style or in streamed style *this one looks kinda gross after how I saw Malc holding it, also the reason why I didn't eat it *. We played Chor Tai Dee . At first I was winning, but then I lost so many rounds after that , that YL had to come to the rescue. We won a few rounds after that, after which I got into a sleepy mode because of the wine. Went to bed at 9pm , or maybe earlier.
Sometime after that:

Wide awake! Let's have another round of wine? No? OK, the boys said no more for me! :( *sobs* Tried going back to sleep, but can't sleep. So ended up chatting with Specimen A about her family problem. It was just me at first with her, then it was CT and then it was Malc and Ukwan and then it was Jun. The whole room was filled with ideas on how to solve the mum-n-dad-are-too-conservative problem. I have that problem, but it's time to really move on. Thanking God for His grace everyday! :)

In between , I have gay guys rolling on my bed- three of them !!! YUCK!!!!!! GET OFF MY BEDDDDD!!!

2.30am:

Time to sleep.

So glad there was nothing wrong with the server . 13 normal / cumulative patches and 6 security patches. As many as those reboots - each reboot was , "Please work my darling server". When they have rebooted , it's "Thank you and let's move to the next patch!"

To patch the server:
1. You have to write down the details of each step.
2. Patch the latest files last.
3. Reboot.
4. Repeat 2-4 until they are done.

Why so urgent? Cos it is. We doubt there was a DOS being done on the server.

*Thank you God, for a wonderful good night sleep. I slept like a baby through the night hahaha..*

Suddenly i feel that the world is very dirty

"The world is so bloody corrupted"

"There's always some hope in it gal"

"yeah i know"

"I will continue to do good i guess..it's so important for Christians to make a stand for God"

"yupz...agreed.The church is not spared also..."

It's only words

... but words are the thing which hurt the most.
... and it strengthens.
... and it kills.
... and it encourages.
... which is priceless, weightless but one word is worth a thousand taels.

It was a wonderful holiday... truly truly .. perhaps it's the best I ever had... Took three
days of leave, and drove up to a small town for a short vacation. Just some really close
friends and I.

Looking back at the pictures... and reminded of all the silly things we all did together ; it's priceless! Anyway here's a summary of the whole trip:

Day 1:

0615 hours:
Ukwan reaches my house to pick me up. Mum reminded not to drive fast. I had three bags with
me(including the sling bag m'kay?) and a radio. You know laarrr girls rite??? Hungry, no breakfast, so we went to Setapak to have porkie noodle.

"Not bad arr, so early also can eat!" - "Of course laa.. I'm trained! "

0715hrs:
Picked up YinLeng from her house. Got kinda lost there. Was stuck at Flood Road. When her
house is behind that! Now I really know how to get to her house! Met Jun, Carol and Malc at Karak toll station. They had eaten , so we just decided to drive up ahead. Supposed exit : Gambang. First junction after MEC Gambang, turn left to town.I had no idea how to get to the new highway, despite someone telling me that it is just 30 km away from Karak entry point! Just keep the faith and keep driving! Halfway to the town, I took over the car from Ukwan and drove in front of Jun. I was on 160kmph at top speed !!! OMG. Average speed :130kmph but somehow don't reallly feel scary cos the car seem to be very stable. Weight makes a difference. It's so different from driving my Mini.Jun was gracious enough not to let me eat his dust! Hahahhahaa.. :)

1030am:
Reached the town! Ok, it's nothing really to shout about. It's a small town , something like Ipoh. They have a Berjaya Megamall *civilization!!!*, and many shops around the town. They have a nice river flowing through the town, so it's really a pretty site. Also saw big "Celcom Territory" billboard, just like KL. Drive straight to Chempedak Lagoon to look for our little abode.Passed by some VIPs' houses, the Golf course and also the Hyatt hotel. They have a cool hangout place with sidewall cafes and McDs - bet this place is HOT at night!

Unknown:
Found the abode --- man!!! It's located soooo secludedly, I won't dare to venture into it my own!!!!! Scareyyyyyyy~~~ Beautiful beautiful abode - facing a private beach, just us and the nature... perfect holiday. When we reached there , the wind was blowing like I never felt before ; it was.... just, perfect! We got three Queensized bed rooms. Since we had three girls and three guys, it was difficult to share ; the girls ended up in the biggest room while the boys shared the two other rooms. The view from the first floor of the bungalow was fantastic! There's a bench which is my all-time fav in the abode ... You can sit here enjoying the wind while overlooking the sea which looks rough at this time.Got two birthday gifts - a MINI model car as well as the necklace.:)

Lunch time:
Went for KAI fan, upon request by MC. Not that great *and quite pricey* really for some kampung chicken , pork and vege.Hung out at Berjaya Megamall after that - just to shop for
groceries, which we later found out does NOT have a supermart. Paid RM1 for the aircond
hehe.. Went to Tunas Manja along the way back to the abode.I found out that the other way
to get my MINI is by drinking Coke, which made me to start ticking each can reachable to see if any of them actually is empty!

Evening time:
Bathed, walk to the private beach! My gosh,it's beautiful..... The sea is very rough, not possible to swim there , really. Jun, Ukwan and I hung out at the big boulders while I was clicking pictures all the way.Ukwan looked like a nomad looking for treasure around the beach, hehe..Games later at the table tennis room. If there's one thing that I learned in this trip , it's HUMILITY!JH and MC gave CT and I a 10-0 lead for the table tennis game , which we won ... ahahhaha.. the punishment for the losing side:Pumping 30 times (Boys) and ketuk-ketampi(Girls).Result : JH and MC had to do pumping!Smart JH didn't do warm up, ended up having hand joints pain.Hehe.. MC is smarter laa..:P We also had a 6-person table tennis game , where each play a round-robbin table tennis. QUite fun! One more game which we played was a guy vs girl team. If you had watched Super Trio , you would know how it worked. Result : girls lost the game. We had to do the YMCA song with actions* we only knew the chorus!*.

Night :
Dinner at Pak Su Seafood Restaurant a few km from where we stayed. Had steamed fish, stuffed crabs, bege, taufu and onion chicken.Price was great! Later we went cruising at the Hyatt walkway area where many people hang out. Lots of food stalls , sketch artists and dating couples as well as families and holiday makers around here. McD seem to be doing extremely well. Retired early that night.

Post-Holiday Blues

Is there such thing called the post-holiday blues? I think I'm already seeing it coming, judging by the look of emails and calls I get when I'm at home. It looks and feels scary thinking about the work I have to do when I get back to work, but then again, without work, holiday would be quite meaningless isn't it?

*SMACK!!!* Stop being ironic and start packing your bags for GOODNESS sake!!! Think about Tempoyak Ikan Patin, the keropok lekors, the nice beach, the beautiful sunrises and sunsets, the lullinig waves , the nice palm trees..... Just like Hawaii... Hahahhaa....

So Sweet

I received an email today, which made me really truly smile to myself. An aquintence sends a birthday wish, and suddenly everything seem happier ! :D

What smart people think about religions?

Religion is excellent stuff for keeping common people quiet. - Napoleon

What happens when we're dead? The irony is that all our questions will be answered after we die. We spend our whole life trying to figure out the truth and the only way we'll find out what it is, is to get hit by a bus. And the only comfort that religion offers is that God is driving that bus.
-John Ryman, "When Galaxies Collide"

Man is certainly stark mad. He cannot even make a worm, and yet he will be making gods by the dozens. - Montaigne

No god ever gave any man anything, nor ever answered any prayer at anytime, nor ever will.
- Madalyn Murray O'Hair

I do not believe in a God of theology who rewards good and punishes evil. -Albert Einstein

This would be the best of all possible worlds if there were no religion in it. - John Adams, 2nd president of the U.S.

On Atheists

The worst moment for the atheist is when he is really thankful and has nobody to thank.

A fact I need to hear today

Psalm 111:10 (New International Version)

The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom;
all who follow his precepts have good understanding.

We are snowflakes

Fact :
- Snowflakes melt easily
- Each snowflake has 6 pinnacles. Each different ; each has a distinct shape and each are unique in its own right. Each are beautiful in its own right.

I wonder how come God can create something so beautiful in snowflakes, and every other thing in this world... Thank you God.You're the BEST! heheh..

On a personal note, have you also wondered why humans are so critical of our own looks when God himself has designed us and made us to look wonderful in His eyes? I sometimes do scold myself for trying to have Julia Roberts's body or Kate Winslet's face! Now I'd probably have to wake up to the fact that I'm Asian, I'm short and I'm never going to have fair skin like Cate Blanchett or Nicole Kidman. :) So I'd better revel at the fact that I'm Asian, I have yellow skin, and I have imperfect skin! But I'll look cool in a cheongsam or even a saree... :) Just like Lara Croft trying to look Asian by wearing sarees , but she will never carry herself like an Indian lady, like how Rani Mukerji does. It's a self discovery, like how we marvel at others' cultures, languages and customs, and in the end we'd just come back to our own roots and thank God for putting us RIGHT where we are.

In the end, nothing matters more than being peaceful with one's inner self , being proud of one's own roots and most importantly, respect others for who they truly are.

"Hello?"
"Abang, nie sayang nie,"
"emmm . . "
"Abang masih ada di kelab lagi ke? "
"iya."
"sayang sekarang nie berada di shopping complex dua block dari kelab abang tu.Sayang ada nampak kain sutera terbaru . .cantik bang, boleh ke sayang beli?"
"Berapa harga nya?"
"Cuma $1500.00 aje"
"O.K, belilah kalau memang awak dah suka sangat"
"Ahhh thanks bang dan tadi sebelum datang sini sayang ada singgah di Cycle & Carriage dan tengok Mercedes model terbaru 2005 . Sayang suka kat satu model tu. Dan sayang dah bincang dengan jurujualnya dan dia setuju nak bagi good price . Lagipun elok juga kita tukarkan dengan
BMW yang kita beli tahun lepas tu."
" Berapa harga yang dia bagi?"
"Cuma RM 280,000 ..."
"O.k tapi pastikan harga tu dah on the road."
"Great! Before we hang up, ada satu perkara lagi..."
"Apa?"
"Eloklah kalau macam tu, confirm cepat sebelum orang lain beli, tapi cuba dapatkan harga RM700,000. OK?"
"OK, abang sayang, terima kasih bang, kita jumpa malam nanti ye!! I Love You !!!"
"Bye... I Love you too. . "

Cerita Jenaka 1

Suami isteri bertengkar.
Tiba-tiba isteri terus kemas beg.

Suami: "Kenapa?"
Isteri: "Dah kahwin 10 tahun, rumah ni tak pernah aman. Saya dah tak tahan. Saya nak tinggalkan rumah ni!"

Suami kemudian masuk bilik dan keluarkan satu lagi beg.
Suami: "Betul jugak cakap awak. Saya pun fed-up dengan rumah ini. Saya ikut sama, boleh?!"

Where is your car key?

"In my pocket"
"my car key is on my desk!"
========================================

"In my bag.. err why arrr????"
"Give me your keys. Jun , go and repark the car!"

Err....

"No need la , Uncle... Let me do it."

"Ehh let him do!"

Hah? *Blank stares*

"Err........................... OK............"

So minutes later the Mini was behind a GTi.
